Saimaa´s western part is called Luonteri, where you can find one of the cleanest waters in South-Savo. Luonteri area is 15 km wide and 20 km long and the lake is about 70 meters deep near Matkutsaari-island. The water there is super clear and if you are lucky enough you might even get a glimpse of the very rare ringed seal. Our guided trip starts at Anttolanhovi. At first we drive to Miekkaniemi, where we learn learn proper paddling technique. We will paddle along the beautiful lake Saimaa and Luonteri area. The bravest ones have an opportunity to swim in the refreshing lake. We will have several breaks to enjoy the campfire and snacks before returning back to Anttolanhovi.
